Higo Bussan Company, Ltd. based in Kumamoto, Japan, was founded in 1940 as a distributor of high-quality tatami straw mats made only of local materials. The in-house IT staff has developed a 4D-based system to manage their stocks based on customer demand and key numerical figures. The system helps develop new business and maintain profits. In 2006, the company was cited by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for innovation in small-to-medium businesses and in 2010 won the IT User Prize in the Kyushu IT Management Power Grand Prix.
